My favorite products for Glowy, Dewy skin

A key ingredient to look for in a skincare product to make your skin look fresh, youthful and glowy is…Glycolic Acid. Why?This is an amazing ingredient for exfoliation. It helps get that top layer of dead dry skin off to reveal the brighter more fresh skin underneath. It also helps with acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, skin discoloration, and dull skin. Exfoliation is the most important part to getting fresh skin with a glow.

Here are some of my go to products

-First aid beauty resurfacing liquid 10% AHA $55.00

This product is a serum. I use it after I have taken off my makeup, cleansed, and toned my skin. This product is amazing because it has a multi acid AHA blend of glycolic, lactic, tartic, and malic acids. They work together to help exfoliate the skin and give you younger looking skin. I don’t  necessarily need the aging benefit quite yet being I’m only 20 but its never too early to start using anti aging skin care am I right? Haha!

-LANEIGE water sleeping mask $25.00

Sleeping masks in general are just amazing for your skin. Especially in these cold months if you live in snowy cold weather like I do. This mask has six ingredients that are referred to as “moisture-maximizing minerals” zinc, manganese, magnesium, sodium, calcium, and potassium. They help the moisture penetrate deeper and quicker into the skin. I use this as the last part in my night time skincare routine. Also do not use this every night, this is a product I use about 1-2 times a week. Usually on nights that my skin looks like it needs some more moisture.

-Dermalogica daily microfoliant $55.00

This exfoliator is gentle enough to use every day (hence the name daily micofoliant) but I love it cause it has little beads in it that really make you feel like you are getting off that extra dead skin. There is something just so satisfying about scrubbing your skin and knowing you are getting all the gunk and dirt off of it. This is a rice based enzyme powder and it activates with water. So when you pour it on your hand it will just be powder and then I get my other hand wet and start rubbing it in my hands till it turns into a paste then scrub my face. This product also has salicylic acid in it which means it is also really good for people who have acne or texture on their skin. I love this product because it is really good for any skin type.

-Tan luxe illuminating self tan drops $49.00

Now this product doesn’t have really any ingredients that are targeted towards helping make your skin more bright or helping to exfoliate but what it does do is it helps give a little bit of color to your skin. It helps so much in the winter months where I don’t get much sun cause its so darn cold! I mix about 3 drops in with my moisturizer nightly and I wake up with a beautiful glow! Most of the time I don’t even wear foundation anymore. I get the medium/dark one which I highly recommend over the light/medium one because I don’t think the light/medium would give much color.

-Drunk elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Cream $68.00

I have tried lots of moisturizers and this one is one of my favorites. It feels so luxurious on the skin and really makes your skin feel plump and very moisturized. It leaves me with a very nice glow to my skin as well

Those are some of my favorite products to achieve a beautiful glow to my skin. Along with using good skincare products with the proper ingredients it is also important to make sure you are drinking plenty of water daily! I know this can be hard, trust me I need to remind myself to drink more water on the daily haha. But what I found helps for me is getting a cute water bottle/tumbler and I usually get one that has a straw cause I tend to drink more water if it has a straw.. maybe thats common or maybe I’m just weird hahaha but whatever works for you to drink more water! Hope you guys enjoyed this post and either found some new products you wanna try or just learned a little something extra :)

The difference between classic, volume and blended lashes

Difference between volume, classic, and blended lashes

Classic- Classic lashes are a 1-1 ratio so that means for every natural lash you have is how many lash extensions I put on. This is nice for people who want a more natural look.

Volume- Volume is anywhere from 2-6 lash extensions put on one natural lash. They are a much thiner lash than the classic lashes which is why I can put multiple on each lash. *this is not cluster lash I hand make each fan. NEVER get cluster lash they are terrible for your lashes and can cause long term damage to your lashes :(* Volume is good for people who want very dramatic lashes (like myself) or even for people who want something a little natural but with less maintenance.

Blended- Blended is a mix of volume lashes and classic. I put some classic lashes on and some hand made fans. Blended is good for people who don’t have a lot of natural lashes and want a more full look but still want it to look natural. Or for people who have lots of natural lashes and want a little more dramatic look.

5 of my favorite every day makeup items

Hey guys! Today I am going to be sharing 5 of my favorite makeup items I use every day. Hope you enjoy and maybe find something new to try out :)

1. NARS Bronzing powder in Laguna $39.00
This is my all time favorite bronzing powder. Bronzers usually tend to be too orange, too dark, or too glittery. This one is perfect for the winter when I am pretty pale or in the summer when i have a nice tan. It has a good amount of shimmer but not too much where you end up looking like a disco ball.

2. Bobbi Brown BB cream $46.00
I have tried almost every foundation, tinted moisturizer, or BB cream that they sell in search of that perfect one that makes me look like I have amazing airbrush dewy skin. I was finally able to stop my search when I tried this one. I apply it with the beauty blender (sold at sephora or online)  and it gives me a perfect dewy and natural finish. It doesn't make me look cakey which is a huge plus. I also love all the added skin benefits it has like moisturizing and protecting from UV rays while also giving me a good amount of coverage. I have found that every foundation is different on everyone.. some break people out and some don't and some look good on someone but not so good on others. Finding the perfect foundation is trial an error so don't be afraid to go into Sephora  and ask for help and maybe leave with a couple samples to try. Or if you do purchase a foundation that you don't love you can always return it even after used!

3. MAC eyeshadow in wedge $16.00
This is my favorite go to eyeshadow. I usually use it all over my lid and then just add a shimmery highlight in my tear duct. You can also use it as a transition color for a smokey eye. Also for all the blondes you can use this as an eyebrow powder too!

4. it Cosmetics No-Tug waterproof gel eyeliner in Black $22.00
I love to line my upper water line with black eyeliner. I just feel like it makes my eyelashes look longer and fuller. Finding a eyeliner that doesn't smudge down into the lower water line or stay on all day is tough. This one does the trick though! once I put it on it stays there almost all day (I usually touch up after work if I decide to go out). I got it in my ipsy box a couple months ago and the mini has lasted me forever! Definitely something I will be purchasing the full size of.

5. L'oreal Voluminous mascara $8.49
I have about 5 of these in my makeup drawer. The waterproof black one, Waterproof blackish brown, Non water proof black, Carbon black, And non waterproof blackish brown. I love them all! The waterproof ones I only wear if I know I will be crying or I love to use it when doing bridal party makeup cause once this is on it isn't going anywhere. If you have any problems with mascara smudging I would recommend this. One thing I am not a huge fan of about the waterproof one is that it is close to impossible to get it off. Even once I think I have gotten it all off I still wake up with raccoon eyes.. So I would only recommend this for days you absolutely need waterproof mascara. On days I don't think I will be crying or near water I like to wear the non waterproof one. My favorite one for everyday wear is the blackish brown one cause it looks a lot more natural. I have tried almost every mascara and this is the only one that gives me an amazing amount of volume without it being clumpy. I use about 2 coats and it works like a charm. The best thing about it: the price! a high quality item for a low price.. Cant beat that.
